The character traits children assimilate during their formative years are the foundation from which a life of faith in God is built. Lamplighter books instill moral values through role models that either demonstrate exemplary behavior or suffer consequences for making wrong choices. Without genuine character development, all is for naught; without Christlike character, the most accomplished individual enjoys only temporary achievements at best.
